Resource Highlight: Trying Your Hand at Business

For engineers interested in having impact through the market, MIT has many resources.

MIT students can take any other MIT course--including management courses in Course 15 (Sloan School of Management). You may learn about anything from finance to patent law to organizational management. Taking Sloan courses is also a great way to meet business partners to enter MIT's $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. It is also a great way to fulfill a minor requirement. Plan ahead: there is a bidding process for courses in high demand. First round building for next semester opens this upcoming September 27.

You may also be interested in the the E-Club, the Entrepreneurship Center, and the CSAIL startups list (for Course 6 students). There are also a variety of course offerings that help get startups off the ground--ask around!
